The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a polarizing film for sunglasses which exhibits little change in color tone or transmittance and which permits free selection of color tone; and a colored polarizing sheet and a colored polarized lens, using said film. The problem is resolved by a process for manufacturing a polarizing film which comprises swelling a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin film with water, dyeing the resulting film with a dichroic organic dye while stretching the film uniaxially, and then drying the dyed film, wherein both a dichroic organic dye composition in such an amount as to keep a polarization degree of 90% or higher and a coloring organic dye composition in such an amount as to attain the dyeing in a desired color are used as the dichroic organic dye. The dichroic organic dye composition comprises a combination of multiple dichroic organic dyes having dichroic ratios of 13 or higher, while the coloring organic dye composition comprises a combination of multiple very low dichroic or substantially non-dichroic dyes having dichroic ratios of 4 or lower. Further, the present invention provides: a colored polarizing film manufactured by the process; a polarized lens obtained by forming a polarizing sheet into a spherical or non-spherical shape, said polarizing sheet being obtained by laminating at least one transparent plastic sheet on each surface of the film with an adhesive layer therebetween; and a polarized lens obtained by forming the polarizing sheet into a spherical or non-spherical shape, wherein the resin of the transparent plastic sheet is an aromatic polycarbonate. |
