Insulating material and method for producing same |
abstract |
The present invention pertains to: an insulating material (B) formed from joining a plurality of aerogel particles (A) by means of an adhesive (2); and a method for producing the insulating material (B). The aerogel particles (A) have an average particle size of at least 500 μm. The adhesive (2) is formed in a dotted manner at the surface of the aerogel particles (A). The ratio of the average particle size of the adhesive (2) to the average particle size of the aerogel particles (A) (adhesive/aerogel particles) is 1/200 to 1/10. When producing the insulating material (B), as the adhesive (2) a powder is used containing a thermosetting resin or a thermoplastic resin. It is possible to obtain an insulating material (B) having high strength and superior insulating properties. |
