abstract Provided herein is a new use for ethanolamine phosphoric acid. Accordingly, provided herein is an animal cell function enhancer having ethanolamine phosphoric acid as an active ingredient. The function of animal cells can be enhanced, even in the absence of serum and growth factors, by inclusion of ethanolamine phosphoric acid. In addition, by clarifying the expression levels of genes associated with the action of EP, provided herein is the use of such genes associated with the action and expression of EP.
