titleOfInvention Polarizable electrode material and electric double layer capacitor using same
abstract The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a polarizable electrode material for high withstand voltage-type electric double layer capacitors which have high energy density and are not susceptible to deterioration of capacitance and resistance over time, thereby having excellent long-term reliability; and an electric double layer capacitor which uses this polarizable electrode material. The solutions are: a polarizable electrode material which is used in an electric double layer capacitor and contains porous carbon particles, a conductive assistant, a tungsten oxide powder and a binder, and which is characterized in that the tungsten oxide is dispersed in the polarizable electrode material so that the surface area of the tungsten oxide per 1 g of the polarizable electrode material is 0.2 m 2 or more but less than 6 m 2 ; and an electric double layer capacitor which uses this polarizable electrode material.
