abstract Provided are: a silver-containing composition which contains silver acetonedicarboxylate having a high silver content, enables the production of a silver element having excellent electrical conductivity, flatness and adhesion properties even when the composition is heated at a low temperature that is lower than the decomposition temperatures of silver salts for a short time, and has high storage stability; and a base for use in the formation of a silver element, which is produced using the composition. The composition according to the present invention is characterized by comprising (A) a silver compound represented by formula (1) and (B) an amine compound represented by formula (2) at a specified content ratio.
