abstract |
The purpose of the present invention is to improve, in spray application of a monothilic refractory, not only the conveyability of a set-accelerating agent which is to be added by pneumatic conveying to a refractory composition but also the mixability of the agent with the refractory composition. The present invention pertains to a powdery set-accelerating agent which is to be used in spray application of a refractory and which is to be added by pneumatic conveying either at a nozzle (13) or on the upstream side of the nozzle (13) to a refractory composition which is pneumatically conveyed to the nozzle (13) through a pipe (17). This powdery set-accelerating agent is characterized in that: the powdery set-accelerating agent comprises a first powdery material which can harden the refractory composition and a second powdery material which is a refractory raw material; and the second powdery material contains at least 5 mass% of particles having diameters exceeding 0.5mm and at least 30 mass% of particles having diameters of 0.1mm or more. |
