abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for producing carboxylic acid esters of isononanoic acid starting from 2-ethyl hexanol by dehydrogenation of 2-ethyl hexanol to an octene, then hydroformylation to an isononanol and subsequent oxidation to isononanoic acid by esterification of the thus-produced isononanoic acid with alcohols, to the carboxylic acid ester of isononanoic acid starting from 2-ethyl hexanol and to the use thereof as lubricant or plasticiser for thermoplastic plastics. |
