abstract The invention addresses the problem of providing biomedical electrodes capable of being easily attached by the user itself without mistake, without requiring specialized knowledge. This problem is solved by the following biomedical electrode. The biomedical electrode is used by making contact with a biological body in order to convey an electrical stimulus to the biological body or detect an electrical signal from the biological body or perform both these operations and comprises: a base material (16) formed in a sheet shape; electrode portions (20) provided on any one surface of the base material (16); an electrolyte layer (34) covering the electrode portions (20); and terminal portions (30) exposed in the base material (16) to the surface on the side opposite to the surface on which the electrode portions (20) are provided and electrically connected to the electrode portions (20). The base material (16) is formed in a wide hem shape in which the downside is made wider than the upside. The electrode portions (20) are shifted to the hem portion formed wide in the base material (16) and are provided one by one in the width direction of the base material (16) at a predetermined interval.
