Disclosed are S-(carboxymethyl)-cysteine compound (I) and the preparation method and the use thereof. Also disclosed are S-(carboxymethyl)-D-cysteine ammonium salt monohydrate and the use thereof in the preparation of medicines for preventing and treating diseases of the respiratory system, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease etc., in particular the use in preparing apophlegmatisms. The compounds can reduce the airway resistance and the production of oxide in rat COPD models, increase the level of antioxidant, and alleviate the damage caused by oxide and inflammation media to lungs. |
