Artificial soils and process for producing same |
abstract |
The present invention provides as substituents for natural soils: (1) an artificial soil which contains granules of a fertilizer-retaining filler and has high fertilizer retentivity and with which plants can be grown by supplying water (e.g., tap water) only and a process for producing the artificial soil; (2) an artificial soil in which a material having high fertilizer retentivity is used and a specific fertilizer ingredient only has been adsorbed thereonto; and (3) a particulate plant growth material which has both high cation-exchange ability and high anion-exchange ability and has excellent fertilizer retentivity, which has excellent water retentivity with respect to water that is easy for plants to absorb, and which has such excellent air permeability that even after water is retained up to saturation, the plant growth material recovers the highly air-permeable state in a short time. |
