abstract The present invention relates to differentiated isolated mesenchymal stem cells having an osteogenic progenitor, which are genetically modified by deleting the sequences or a fragment of the sequences that code for protein p53 and protein Rb. The cells described in the present invention also have the ability to generate osteosarcoma-type tumours in vivo . The present invention also relates to the cell populations and lines, and to a non-human animal model in which said osteosarcoma-like stem cells have been implanted. Moreover, the present invention relates to the method for obtaining said cells and to the uses thereof, preferably for screening for agents that can be used in the treatment and/or prevention of sarcoma.
