titleOfInvention Heart valve prostheses
abstract Described herein is a prosthetic heart valve (1; 100) including: - a prosthetic valve annulus (2; 200) defining an orifice for the passage of blood flow, - at least one prosthetic valve leaflet member (4; 400) including at least one coaptation surface (C1, C2, C3, C4; C1OO) configured for cooperating with at least one corresponding coaptation surface (C5, C6, C1; C1OO) of said prosthetic heart valve (1; 100) to regulate blood flow through said orifice, said at least one valve leaflet member (4; 400) being displaceable by the blood flow between a closed position and an open position to produce, correspondingly, a contact and a separation of cooperating coaptation surfaces (C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, C1; C1OO), wherein in the open position the separation of the cooperating coaptation surfaces (C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, C1; C1OO) enables the blood flow through said orifice in a first direction (F1), and wherein in the closed position the contact of the cooperating coaptation surfaces (C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, C1 C1OO) prevents the blood flow through said orifice in a second direction ( F2 ), opposite to said first direction. The prosthetic heart valve includes at least one device (8, 10; 100) configured for preventing at least in part the contact between cooperating coaptation surfaces (C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, C1; C1OO), so that a blood regurgitation in said second direction (F2) is enabled, wherein said at least one device (8, 10; 110) is configured for ceasing its action after a predetermined amount of time.
