titleOfInvention X-ray source, use thereof and method for producing x-rays
abstract The invention relates to a x-ray radiation source comprising a housing (19), in which, according to the invention, several targets (11) are accommodated in a changing device (39), which has for example a rotary table (40). By rotating the rotary plate (40) by means of a motor (M), the different targets (11) are subjected to the electron beam (13) of the x-ray radiation source. As a result, x-rays (in particular, monochromatic x-rays) having different wavelengths are advantageously produced without having to open the housing when changing the target (11). Other rotary plates can be advantageously arranged in a magazine (42). The invention also relates to a method for producing x-rays, in which said changing device (39) is used and to the use of the above-mentioned x-ray source for producing monochromatic x-rays in order to x-ray a body.
