abstract |
The purpose of the present invention is to enhance the efficiency of utilization of microwave energy in the synthesis of fuel by increasing the contact area between multiple raw materials and concentrating a catalyst in the neighborhood of the interface at which the raw materials come into contact with each other. This fuel-synthesizing process comprises: mixing an alcohol with a catalyst to prepare a catalyst-containing raw material fluid; mixing the catalyst-containing raw material fluid with an oil or a fat to prepare a mixed solution; and subjecting the mixed solution to microwave irradiation to synthesize a fatty acid ester which is an ester of the alcohol with a fatty acid constituting the oil or fat. |
