abstract Provided are a data synchronization method, system and device, which relate to the field of data processing. The method comprises: a client sending a synchronization request to a backup server, the synchronization request comprising a client data version number and client synchronization data; the backup server receiving the synchronization request, and judging whether the client data version number is consistent with a local data version number; if the client data version number and the local data version number are consistent, updating local data according to the client synchronization data; and if the client data version number and the local data version number are inconsistent, issuing the local data version number and the local data to the client. The present invention manages the backup data located in the backup server and the client synchronization data located in the client using a version number mechanism, so that all data in a plurality of devices used by a user can be synchronized into the same backup server.
