abstract |
This pupil detection method is provided with: a step for photographing the face of a subject using a left camera (2A) and a right camera (2B) and acquiring an image; a step for extracting, from the image, one or more in-image candidate points representing candidates for a pupil of the subject; a step for extracting, with respect to a combination of in-image candidate points corresponding to the same point in a three-dimensional space, a point corresponding to the combination as an in-space candidate point; a step for selecting a pair of in-space candidate points from the extracted in-space candidate points and calculating the distance between the selected pair with regards to a plurality of pairs; a step for removing pairs of in-space candidate points for which the calculated distance is not within a predetermined range; and a step for determining one or more pairs of in-space candidate points from pairs that have not been removed, and determining that the pair of pupils of the subject is present at the corresponding positions. |
