abstract Disclosed in the present invention are rs429608 and rs2075702 loci in the SKIV2L gene and base mutations of rs760070, rs3880457 and rs9501161 loci in the RDBP gene. Also disclosed in the present invention are the use of a reagent for detecting the above-mentioned base mutations in preparation of the screening reagent for senile macular degeneration and a screening kit for senile macular degeneration. The kit of the present invention can be used for auxiliary diagnosis of senile macular degeneration and for the resistance assessment of individual senile macular degeneration.
