A composition for forming a protective layer on a substrate comprises a plurality of silicas having different particle size ranges, and a curable resin. The substrate may be a building substrate such as a floor or wall concrete, blocks or bricks. The silica is typically white or colorless crystalline compound, SiO 2 , occurring abundantly as quartz, sand, flint, agate, and many other minerals used to manufacture a wide variety of materials, especially glass and concrete. |
