This composition for forming an electrode of a lithium secondary battery is characterized by containing an active material that is represented by general formula (1) and coated with conductive carbon, a dispersant, a binder and a solvent, and is also characterized by using, as the active material, secondary particles having different particle diameters in combination with granulation particles, said secondary particles being respectively formed of fine primary particles that have an average primary particle diameter of 50-300 nm.
