titleOfInvention Organic electroluminescent element
abstract The present invention addresses the problem of providing an organic electroluminescent element which has high luminous efficiency and improved service life in cases where the element is caused to emit light with high luminance. An organic electroluminescent element of the present invention comprises an organic layer that is held between the positive electrode and the negative electrode and includes a light emitting layer. The organic electroluminescent element is characterized in that: the light emitting layer contains a host compound and a phosphorescent dopant represented by general formula (1); and the content of the phosphorescent dopant in the light emitting layer is within the range of 8-35% by volume relative to the content of the host compound.
