titleOfInvention | Blood lipid-regulating red yeast curcuma zedoaria pharmaceutical composition and preparation method therefor |
abstract | Disclosed are a pharmaceutical composition having blood lipid-regulating effects (particularly for treatment of hypertriglyceridemia) and a preparation method therefor; also disclosed is a pharmaceutical use of the pharmaceutical composition. The pharmaceutical composition of the present invention combines red yeast and Curcuma zedoaria with each other to produce a synergistic effect and to provide efficacy for clearance of moisture and mucus, for blood circulation, and for spleen-caring and digestion. The pharmaceutical composition of the invention is capable of reducing total cholesterol in blood, of increasing high-density lipoprotein, and of reducing low-density lipoprotein content, is particularly conspicuous in expression of a triglyceride reduction effect, and allows for significant treatment of hypertriglyceridemia. The preparation process of the present invention is reasonable in that not only the content of the active ingredient Lovastatin in the red yeast is increased, but also the active ingredients of medicaments in a prescription are preserved, thus giving full play to the effects of the medicaments. The content of Lovastatin serves as a quality control indicator for the preparation of the present invention, while the quality of the preparation is stable and controllable. |
