abstract |
The invention relates to a motor vehicle pneumatic tire having a radial carcass, a belt and a tread that is composed, in the radial direction, of two layers made of different rubber mixtures, a tread cap and a tread base, wherein the tread cap represents the part of the tread that comes in contact with the road and the tread base is arranged between the tread cap and the belt. In order to have low rolling resistance without negatively influencing other tire properties the tread base is based on a rubber mixture that contains more than 70 phr natural and/or synthetic polyisoprene and 21 to 42 phr silicic acid and carbon black in total, wherein the ratio of silicic acid to carbon black is greater than 1:1, and comprises at least one coupling agent for bonding the silicic acid to the rubber. |
