abstract | The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a process for manufacturing a deodorant against aldehyde-based gases, said deodorant exhibiting high deodorization performance against aldehydes and being negative in a mutagenicity test and thus highly safe; and deodorant-processes articles. The problem is achieved by a process for manufacturing a deodorant against aldehyde-based gases which exhibits a negative mutagenic response in the AMES test, said process including: a step of preparing a deodorant composition which comprises a dihydrazide compound, a hydrous inorganic powder and water; and a step of heating the deodorant composition at a temperature of 45 to 90°C to such an extent that at least 4.5% of water relative to the whole of the deodorant remains. Also provided are deodorant -processes articles obtained through after-processing using the deodorant manufacturing by this process. |
