abstract A novel three-component synergistic preservative system has zinc oxide, a phenoxyethanol component, and caprylyl glycol. The preservative system provides sufficient preservative activity without the use of other preservatives such as parabens. It provides broad spectrum activity against yeast and molds, and remains effective long term.
