The present invention describes an attenuated strain of Brucella ovis characterised in that it comprises a mutation of the gene that codes for the ABC-transporter (TMS3), and the use thereof as a live vaccine against brucellosis. More specifically, the present invention relates to the construction by directed mutagenesis of a mutant Brucella ovis strain (TMS3), by deletion of two open reading frames (ORF), BOVA0500 and BOVA0501 (GenBank), which code for proteins that form an ABC-transporter system. |
