abstract | The present invention relates to polyalkylene terephthalate/polycarbonate compositions comprising A) 49 to 70 parts by weight of aromatic polycarbonate, B) 21 to 40 parts by weight of polyalkylene terephthalate having more than 2 carbons in the diol component, C) 6 to 25 parts by weight of a salt of a phosphinic acid, D) 0 to 24 parts by weight of customary additives, all parts by weight figures in the present application being normalized such that the sum of the parts by weight of components A+B+C+D in the composition adds up to 100, which feature an optimal combination of low processing shrinkage, high chemical resistance and good heat distortion resistance, coupled with simultaneously good fire characteristics, to the use of the polycarbonate compositions for production of mouldings and to the mouldings themselves. |
