abstract There is provided herein a low antimony trioxide flame-retarded styrenic thermoplastic polymer composition comprising: (a) at least one styrenic thermoplastic polymer; (b) at least one brominated flame retardant; (c) at least one antimony trioxide synergist in an amount of less than 5 wt. %; and, (d) at least one calcium borate on an inorganic carrier. There is also provided a method of making said flame retarded styrenic thermoplastic polymer composition and article thereof.
