abstract | Provided are a carbon nanoring and a preparation method therefor. The carbon nanoring consists of one or more layers of coaxial carbon rings. The carbon ring has a structure similar to that of a closed ring body formed by rolling a graphite sheet. The axial dimension and the radial dimension of the carbon nanoring are both of nanoscale, and the axial dimension is smaller than the radial dimension. The method for preparing the carbon nanoring comprises: baking a layered double hydroxide composite metal oxide, formed through intercalation of long-chain alkyl anions and carbon source molecules, in an inert or reducing atmosphere; under the catalytic effect of laminated metal elements, growing a carbon nanoring in an interlaminar confinement space; and removing metal and metal oxides through acid dissolution to obtain the carbon nanoring. The method can effectively control the axial dimension and the radial dimension of the carbon nanoring, and the number of carbon ring layers. The provided carbon nanoring has a nanoring structure and excellent properties of carbon materials, has more edge carbon and dangling bonds, and has broad application prospects in fields such as nano devices, energy storage, and sensing. |
