titleOfInvention Shock absorption member
abstract Provided is a shock absorption member which is lightweight, which offers a high degree of freedom in terms of geometry and which can efficiently absorb impact energy. A shock absorption member comprising a base part and an upright part provided on the base part, wherein at least one of the base part or the upright part may be made of a carbon fibre-reinforced composite material comprising a thermoplastic resin, and the other may be made of a thermoplastic resin. The shock absorption member is characterized in that the amount of thermoplastic resin present therein is from 30 to 1000 parts per mass with respect to 100 parts per mass of carbon fibres, and the average fibre length of said carbon fibres is from 3 to 100 mm.
