abstract |
The invention relates to a particulate, absorbent polymer material comprising at least one of the following properties: i) a maximum APC i x 10 sec- value of ≥1.6 for at least one number i selected from the group of the whole numbers from 2 to 12 (=APC max ); ii) a value for the sum of all APC i × 10 sec -values of ≥ 12 for all numbers i from the group of whole numbers from 2 to 12 (=APC sum ); wherein the APC i x 10 sec -value is defined as follows: APC i × 10 sec =QI i × 10 sec -value 2 ×PI i × 10 sec -value, wherein - the QI i x 10 sec-value value is the value of the source index determined according to the test method described herein i x 10 seconds after adding the 0.9 wt % of NaCl solution and - the PI i x 10 sec- value the value of the permeability index according to the test method described herein i x 10 seconds after adding the 0.9 wt % of NaCl solution. The invention also relates to an absorbent core comprising such a particulate absorbent material, to a hygiene product, to a method for producing an absorbent core and to an absorbent core that can be obtained by said method. |
