The present invention relates to a biofuel cell. According to the concept of the present invention, an anode, including a stainless-steel basket for containing the bacterial substrate, is adjoined to a cathode chamber via a cation-exchange membrane. Once assembled, the biofuel cell (anode/substrate and cathode compartment) is placed in contact with or submerged into the organic effluent to be treated, which is contained in a receptacle. |
