titleOfInvention | Compositions for simulating chemical warfare agents and use thereof |
abstract | The present invention relates to compositions for simulating, or mimicking, chemical warfare sulfur mustard agents and/or nerve agent. Specifically, the present invention relates to compositions for simulating chemical warfare sulfur mustard agents comprising : - an ester according to the general formula: wherein R is an aliphatic or cyclic alkyl having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, such as 1 to 10 or 1 to 5, and wherein X is -OH, a halogen or -C(=O)-R 1 , wherein R 1 is a group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; and - a sulfide according to the formula (I): R 1 —S—R 2 wherein R 1 and R 2 are independently an aliphatic, alicyclic, aromatic or heterocyclic alkyl having 1 to 30 carbon atoms. Specifically, the present invention relates to compositions for simulating, or mimicking, chemical warfare nerve agents comprising 15% to 35% by weight ethanol and 10% to 30% by weight dipropylene glycol monomethylether. |
