abstract Provided is a process for the preparation of eptifibatide using a novel non-linear liquid phase peptide synthesis scheme. This invention makes use of combing precursor peptides synthesized separately in high purity and yield over presently known processes. The disclosed process has several advances over known processes like ease of scale-up and work-up as the process utilizes liquid phase peptide preparation chemistry.
