abstract |
The purpose of the invention is to provide a test method capable of accurately, easily, and in a short time confirming mutagenicity for mammals, including humans. To solve this problem, the invention provides a mutagenicity test method including (1) a step for culturing, for a predetermined period of time in the presence of the test substance, a transformant of a mammalian cell carrying a recombinant vector containing a p53 binding sequence, minimal promoter capable of functioning in a mammalian cell, and a reporter gene linked by this minimal promoter so as to be expressable and (2) a step for determining whether or not the test substance affects the expression level of the reporter gene in the transformant by comparing the expression level of the reporter gene in the transformant cultured in step (1) and the expression level of the reporter gene in a transformant not brought into contact with the test substance. |
