abstract A peritoneal dialysis (PD) machine (10) comprising a blood pressure monitor (1) and a weight scale (2) which are powered by the dialysis machine. The peritoneal dialysis machine records and stores the measurements in the machine of a patient's blood pressure and weight that are taken using the blood pressure monitor and scale. The frequency with which such measurements are recorded is also monitored by the PD machine. If the frequency of recording the measurements does not comply with a predetermined schedule, a local and/or remote alert is generated.
