A colored composition which comprises: a methine dye that is represented by general formula (1) and has a solubility in n-hexane at 25ºC and 0.1 MPa of 1 mass% or higher; and a nonpolar solvent. In general formula (1), R 1 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, -COOR 11 , or -CONR 11 R 12 and Ar represents an aromatic ring. R 9 and R 10 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group. R 11 and R 12 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or an aryl group, and R 11 and R 12 may be bonded to each other to form a five-, six-, or seven-membered ring. Symbol n is an integer of 0-2. None of R 1 , R 9 , R 10 , and Ar has a dissociable group (excluding NH). |
