The invention relates to a novel mold for forming glass, in particular glass having a thickness of less than or equal to 4 mm, said mold including at least one abrasive portion consisting of at least one metal binder and diamonds distributed within the binder, said binder having a hardness of between 95 and 105 on the Rockwell B scale and containing tungsten, and the diamonds having a size of between 75 and 95 µm and a concentration of between 2.2 ct/cm 3 and 2.64 ct/cm 3 . The invention also relates to a method for forming glass, in particular for forming glass panels for automobiles, which uses said mold and enables feed rates of no lower than 30 m/min to be attained. |
