abstract |
Disclosed is a copolyamide including at least two repeat units selected from the group consisting of structures (I) to (IV), -C(O)(CH 2 ) 10 C(O) NH(CH 2 ) n NH- (I); -C(O)(CH 2 ) 12 C(O)NH(CH 2 ) n NH- (II); -C(O)(CH 2 ) 14 C(O)NH(CH 2 ) n NH- (III); and -C(O)(CH 2 ) 16 C(O)NH(CH 2 ) n NH- (IV); and n is an integer selected from 4, 6, 10 or 12; wherein at least one repeat unit is selected from structures (I) and (II); and any one the repeat units may be present up to about 92 mole percent. Also disclosed is a process for providing the copolyamide; and thermoplastic compositions and tubing including the copolyamides. |
