titleOfInvention Micro-reaction chamber microelectrodes especially for neural and biointerfaces
abstract Biocompatible electrodes with smaller geometric area improve the selectivity of the neural recording and stimulation applications. A volume within the electrode back plane of a micro-reaction chamber ^RC) is used to confine and sequester an electrochemical reaction used for charge passage. The μRC electrode decreases impedance and improves charge storage capacity without altering the geometry of the active site.
