The method for producing a porous positive electrode material for a lithium ion cell of the present invention comprises a preparation step for preparing a starting liquid comprising (I) one or more substances selected from a positive electrode active substance capable of occlusion and release of lithium, production intermediates thereof, and starting materials thereof, wherein the media diameter d 50 is no greater than 100% of the median diameter d 50 of the following (II), (II) water-dispersible resin microparticles having a median diameter d 50 that is between 10 and 400 nm, and an aqueous solvent, and a step for spray drying the starting liquid obtained by the preparation step. The median diameter d 50 here is defined as the median diameter d 50 in the volume-standard grain size distribution as measured by a laser diffraction/scattering-type distribution meter before preparing the starting liquid. |
