abstract The invention relates to a device for cooling by single-stage absorption, in which the working fluid is a ternary mixture of ammonia/lithium nitrate and water, wherein: the coolant is the ammonia; and the absorbent is the solution of lithium nitrate and water; characterised in that the moisture content of the output vapour of the generator is less than 1%, such that no rectifier is required.
