The present invention addresses the problem of providing a resin composition for forming an ink-receiving layer that is capable of forming print images having excellent printability and water resistance with use of an aqueous ink or a solvent-borne ink.nThe present invention is a resin composition for forming an ink-receiving layer, which contains a binder resin (A) that has a weight average molecular weight of 100,000 or more and an acid value of 90-450, an aqueous medium (B), and if necessary, a component (C) that is composed of one or more materials selected from the group consisting of water-soluble resins (c1) and inorganic fillers (c2). The resin composition for forming an ink-receiving layer is characterized in that: the binder resin (A) is dispersed in the aqueous medium (B); and the content of the component (C) relative to the total mass of the binder resin (A) is from 0% by mass to 15% by mass. |
