abstract [Problem] To estimate a second deterioration component included in the deterioration state of a secondary battery. [Solution] A device for estimating the state of deterioration of a secondary battery, said device comprising: a current sensor that measures the current of a secondary battery; a current estimating unit that estimates the current of the secondary battery by using a battery model; and a deterioration estimating unit that estimates a second deterioration component that is generated by deviation in the salt concentration in the secondary battery. The deterioration estimating unit estimates the second deterioration component by using the measured current that is acquired from the current sensor, the estimated current that is acquired from the current estimating unit, and a first deterioration component that is generated by wear of the secondary battery. Also, the deterioration estimating unit corrects the estimated current using the ratio of the rate of change in resistance of the secondary battery when the second deterioration component is eliminated and the rate of change in resistance during charging/discharging of the secondary battery.
