abstract |
Provided is a display device that can increase the degree of freedom of design of a connector section connected to the external connector of an external device. The display device is provided with: a flexible substrate (11); an inner circuit (3) provided to a circuit disposing region (2) set in the flexible substrate; and a display body (4) driven by an electrical signal supplied to the inner circuit from an external device. The flexible substrate has a protruding region (8) that extends from the circuit disposing region; at the protruding region of the flexible substrate is formed a connection wiring (6) that extends from the inner circuit to the end of the protruding region and that connects to the external device; the end of the protruding region is provided with connector sections (9) that respectively connect to the external connector of at least two types of the external device; and in the connector sections, a reinforcing plate (18) that compensates for the thickness necessary for connection with the external connectors is provided to the end of the protruding region of the flexible substrate. |
