abstract An explosive composition comprising hydrogen peroxide and a sensitiser, wherein the sensitiser comprises a compressible material having one or more gas-filled voids and/or bubbles of gas. The sensitiser is included in a detonation-sensitive concentration, and the explosive composition is preferably adapted to retain the sensitiser in a substantially homogenous dispersion throughout. The invention also relates to a method of preparing an explosive composition comprising combining hydrogen peroxide and a sensitiser, wherein the sensitiser comprises a compressible material and/or bubbles of gas, and use of said explosive composition.
