The invention relates to a carbon fiber which comprises at least one monofilament. At least one of the at least one filament has a filament diameter of 4 µm or less, said diameter being determined in accordance with DIN EN ISO 1973. The invention additionally relates to a method for producing such a carbon fiber, to the use thereof, and to a carbon precursor fiber. |
