abstract Provided is a battery module having a configuration allowing approximately equal pressure to be applied to each electrode contained in the module. A stack unit comprises a stack of at least a positive electrode, an electrolyte layer, and a negative electrode, and a unit battery comprises a battery case housing one or more of said stack units. This battery module is provided with two or more unit batteries and with a sealed casing which houses said two or more unit batteries and a fluid, and is characterized in that the two or more unit batteries are stacked in the approximately the same direction as the stacking direction of the stack units, and, between the stacked unit batteries, gap members are provided allowing inflow of the fluid.
