abstract The invention relates to a method for improving the resistance of a plant to viruses, which includes modifying the genome of the plant so as to at least partially inhibit the activity of a CSN5 protein of said plant. Said modification of the genome of the plant can involve mutating a gene of the plant that encodes the CSN5 protein, or can be selected so as to cause the overexpression of a mini zinc finger (MIF) protein.
