The present invention provides an interlocking block for which the limitation of the locations for application can be reduced and which has an excellent countermeasure effect against a heat island phenomenon even on blistering hot days.nThe present invention relates to an interlocking block which comprises a granulated product of a porous ceramic material and a cement and has bending strength of 3.0 MPa or more, a water-retaining ability of 0.20 g/cm 3 or more and a bulk specific gravity of 1.7 g/cm 3 or less. It is preferred that the porous ceramic material is produced by firing a mixture comprising at least one component selected from the group consisting of a slag, an organic sludge, diatomaceous earth and borosilicate glass and a clay, and it is more preferred that the mixture comprises a slag, an organic sludge and a clay. |
