titleOfInvention Interlocking block
abstract The present invention provides an interlocking block for which the limitation of the locations for application can be reduced and which has an excellent countermeasure effect against a heat island phenomenon even on blistering hot days.nThe present invention relates to an interlocking block which comprises a granulated product of a porous ceramic material and a cement and has bending strength of 3.0 MPa or more, a water-retaining ability of 0.20 g/cm 3 or more and a bulk specific gravity of 1.7 g/cm 3 or less. It is preferred that the porous ceramic material is produced by firing a mixture comprising at least one component selected from the group consisting of a slag, an organic sludge, diatomaceous earth and borosilicate glass and a clay, and it is more preferred that the mixture comprises a slag, an organic sludge and a clay.
