abstract A mobile phone user identity authentication method, cloud server and network system are provided in embodiments of the present invention. Said mobile phone is connected to the cloud server via a communication network, and the face sample image database corresponding to the user is stored in said cloud server. The method includes that: according to a login account and password, the cloud server determines the face sample image database of the user corresponding to said login account and password; according to the login account, password and said face input image, said user identity is authenticated and whether said user is permitted to enter the mobile phone OS is determined. Load of identity authentication can be carried by the cloud server, security of mobile phone OS can be improved, user experience can be enhanced and precision of face identification can be improved.
